The EU Commission, as a contribution to the 2018 EU-China Tourism Year (ECTY), organises the first EU-China Virtual Travel Fair on cultural tourism (VTF), which is to take place on 27 and 28 November 2018.

For this fair, a virtual platform will be created with a number of booths offered to key EU-China non-commercial actors focusing on trans-European products. The Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe are one of the selected exhibitors. This should allow us to showcase our Route directly to the Chinese travel trade in an innovative and interactive way. Each visitor creates his or her unique virtual profile and 3D avatar, and each participant uploads his/her business card and contact info. The fair allows exhibitors to network and engage: attendees can easily approach and find fellow attendees, exchange business cards and share profiles in one click.
